The First of the 2010′s

I’ve been experimenting with the paperweight designs and really like these new ones.  Lots of dichroic glass on a deep transparent cobalt base.  If you ever use a lighted stand to display your paperweights, then you are going to flip for this one.  When the light goes through this cobalt core the whole weight glows in a crazy good way.  I’ve got to seriously consider selling the lighted stands with these weights, it’s that cool.

On top of the core are strips of dichroic glass covered by swirls of tight latticino cane and various murrini.  A little more simplified and refined than some of my wilder closepack cane and murrini weights.  These ones are a great start to 2010!  I’ll post some more pics as they come out of the oven!
